Located less than an hour from Melbourne, our debut hideaway is nestled in the hills of the Dandenong Ranges with spectacular views reaching all the way to Port Phillip Bay.
Located in Kallista, Larnook at Sherbrooke is perched hillside, in front of a historic 1900's dairy. Think carefully curated corners, beautiful finishes, unique design and all cocooned in our repurposed shipping containers.
With all the amenities you could need for an intimate escape, it is completely off-grid and self-sufficient. We believe in a shared economy and soft footprint, and Larnook is consciously powered by rainwater and solar power.
A full ensuite and king bed with panoramic views lead onto open plan, well equipped kitchen, dining area, and lounge with gas log fireplace.
Outside, the deck with outdoor lounge and hot shower follow down to the wood fire pit and further to your shaded courtyard patio.

Larnook at Sherbrooke is nestled within the spectacular, rolling hills of the Dandenong Ranges. There is a calmness and a quiet as you explore the winding roads, with towering native trees overhead.
Kallista is a quaint country town only minutes to the Dandenong Ranges National Park, with the walks and trails of Sherbrooke Forest on your doorstep. The iconic Puffing Billy steam train runs through the forest and can be seen and heard from many stops throughout the area.
The community is tight knit, with a focus on supporting local. We have amazing, locally run cafes, bakeries, stores and restaurants, not to mention local produce and even wine.
It's a great area for both meandering sightseers, and adventurers looking to explore.

Our absolute favourite thing to do at Larnook is laze about with a drink and a good book - be it in bed with a cup of coffee gazing out at the weather, in front of the fire with a glass of wine, or on the deck with a cold one watching the sunset over the city.

Our favourite day trip from Larnook at Sherbrooke would have to include breakfast at the Kallista Deli & Cafe, followed by a long, cool walk through the giant trees of the national park and into Sherbrooke Falls. Stop at The Patch Store on your way back for a few local provisions and end with a platter & a local vino overlooking the hills, and listening out for Puffing Billy in the distance.
