New England Highlights
The Hook: A chance to give the kids a legit farm tour and taste of life in the bush!
One of the oldest Angus Cattle studs in Australia, owners Sam & Kirsty White appreciate the opportunity to continue the work of previous generations and do what they love, working together on a family farm raising the best quality Angus cattle possible. Enjoy a stay in ‘Kelly’s Cottage’ this school holidays, go on farm tours with Kirsty & Sam and learn about where your food & fibre comes from, pick fresh produce from the veggie garden and explore the waterfalls of the New England High Country.
“We love working with livestock on the land and are happy to provide farm tours to guests staying at Bald Blair depending on our availability during their stay. Guests can jump in the ute and we can show them our latest crop of angus bulls, angus cattle, merino sheep, bull selling complex, modern cattle yards, outbuildings, and woolshed providing a detailed explanation of where your food and fibre comes from, along with anecdotes about the history of Bald Blair.”
The Hook: A fire pit and outdoor seating area perfect for star gazing nights surrounded by the sounds of grazing cattle.
My Rural Retreat is a beautiful place to unwind, escape your every day, and reconnect with nature. You will stay on ‘Cabarfeidh’ our working cattle station which is located in the beautiful New England Region of NSW, surrounded by world-class National Parks. We have a wonderful grazing history, operating alongside historic ‘Ollera Station’, which was settled in 1838 and remains in family hands.
As well as managing our commercial Angus herd, Tom and I are passionate about rural communities, supporting local, eating fresh food, enjoying gorgeous gardens, and finding beauty in the simple things in life. We love welcoming guests to our part of the world, and hope they leave relaxed, re-charged, and with an extra spring in their step.

‘Kids who come to visit have so much freedom to run about. They see cattle grazing in the paddocks, they can fish in the creek, go bushwalking with their parents and see the beautiful bright stars at night.’
