Red Rattler Retreat is a lovingly restored red rattler train carriage near Warren, NSW. This quirky farmstay features the original carriage (circa 1895) set in a large homestead garden on a farm, which is a haven for native birds as well the hosts' guinea fowl and peacocks, and includes a pool and tennis court. Hilton Homestead, one of Mandurama's historic buildings, first built in the late 1800s, has recently been entirely renovated and is set on the edge of over 2000 acres of grazing land and sits within a large expansive country garden.
The Hilton Homestead can be pet friendly, but we wish for guests to be aware that the property is a working cattle farm surrounded by native animals and the home is only recently renovated. We've put a lot of love into the homestead for people to enjoy, so we ask for only trained and well-behaved pets to stay with us. It’s been in the same family since 1926, and they offer campsites on the banks of the babbling Dirk Brook. Bring your camper, caravan, travel trailer or swags along — campers will need to be self sufficient, and it’s recommended that they drive a 4WD or SUV to access the campsites.
