The Shearers Hall at Wilga Station (Bathurst, NSW)

$0.00

Nearest Town: Bathurst, NSW

Sleeps: 10

Description

Wilga Station offers a glorious new level of relaxed luxury just under 3 hours from Sydney and Canberra. Just 12 minutes from the historic city of Bathurst and 40 minutes from Orange wine country, this 260-acre working sheep farm has been home to the Keith family for three generations.

They have now opened this idyllic country lifestyle to guests and invite them to explore the tranquil, winding, walking tracks and willow-lined creek, before settling into toast marshmallows and enjoy a glass of premium local wine and watch the sunset at one of two beautiful, off-grid accommodation options. Visitors can choose to stay at The Shearers Hall (Sleeps up to 10) or The Farmers Hut (Sleeps 2).

Formerly a working shearing shed, The Shearers Hall was the hub of Wilga Station during shearing season. It’s now been transformed into a luxurious, five-bedroom country retreat for up to 10 guests. This is the place to come with family and friends. It’s convivial, relaxed and located at the very heart of the farm with wide-ranging views over Fitzgerald’s Valley and Wilga Dam.

Don’t be surprised if sheep graze right past your window.

During your stay, be sure to have a swim in the 2 million litre natural swimming pond, exclusively for Wilga Station guests.

The Shearers Hall allows you to enjoy a taste of iconic Australian history but with style and sophistication. The owners have kept the sheep chutes (under glass) and the old wool table now holds pride of place in the entertaining area – all it needs is some food, wine and plenty of laughter. You can stay at the Shearers Hall for $1,100 a night (sleeps 10).
