The Ridge House is a fully renovated, beautifully styled 4-bedroom country home sheltered in the rolling green hills of Yarragon South, West Gippsland, only 90 minutes from Melbourne.
Sleeping from 2 to 8 guests, our secluded bushland getaway is perfect for a couple’s getaway or a family and friends’ weekend together.
Nestled in 50 acres of private bushland, guests have access to walk the historic Yarragon logging tramway track that winds through the property, two indoor fireplaces, a fully equipped kitchen and the ever-changing magical views that sweep towards Mt Baw Baw.
It’s the perfect antidote to city life.

Yarragon Village offers travellers the perfect opportunity to stroll the line of vintage markets, cosy cafes, local produce stores and art galleries both on the main street and in the nooks, laneways and courtyards that always add a surprise element to your exploration.
The owner’s favourite thing to do at the property
Grab a cuppa and sit on the north facing verandah to take in the magnificent sweeping vista towards Mt Baw Baw. It’s like a moving postcard watching the weather roll by all tucked up nice and cosy on our little secluded ridge.
The owner’s favourite day trip nearby
Lace up your hiking boots and head to Mount Worth State Park for walking tracks that weave through mountain ash and blue gum forest. Replete with fern glades, lyrebirds and the enormous Standing Giant, a 300-year-old mountain ash, the trails range from an easy 30-minute stroll to more moderate 3-hour hikes that take you through several sites of old logging sawmills from the early 1900’s.
It is fun to find remnants of the sawmills slowly being hidden by the returning bush growth. There are great picnic amenities (including restrooms) which provide the opportunity to enjoy local food and wine you can buy from Yarragon Village.
