Favourite day trip nearby?

If you are wanting a picturesque country drive, we recommend setting aside some time to visit Taralga, the village is a comfortable 1 hour drive from the Moorabinda Guest House. Taralga is home to one of our favourite spots - the Argyle Inn, the oldest still trading hotel in Taralga and a hatted restaurant with a locally sourced seasonal menu and a historical facade that takes you back in time. (Reservations recommended) There are a handful of antique stores and cafes dotted along the main street as well as the Taralga Hotel, the charm of walking along the street itself is well worth the drive.

We also love visiting Boorowa, Laggan and Gunning for wonderful day trips.

Guests shouldn't forget to pack their...

Their hat, walking shoes and a good book. If you do plan to cook during your stay we recommend planning ahead and bringing your supplies either from your home destination or on your way through Crookwell as we love to support our local businesses.
